Jordan Maun Esq.

Jordan Maun, a Key West native, is an attorney at The Downs Law Group handling Mass Tort, Class Action, Toxic Tort, and Personal Injury cases. Ms. Maun also serves as Assistant Development Director for the South Palm Beach County Chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers (FAWL).

She graduated cum laude from the University of Florida in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Science and minors in International Studies in Agricultural and Life Sciences and Studio Art. She continued her education at the University of Miami, where she earned a Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, and a Master of Professional Science degree in Marine Conservation in 2023.

With a unique blend of both scientific and legal expertise – gained through courses focused on topics including chemistry, natural resource sampling, oceanography, and natural hazard/catastrophe decision analysis, Jordan is well-equipped for her role as an associate attorney specializing in toxic tort litigation at the Downs Law Group’s Miami office. Her interdisciplinary background and leadership roles in law school, including as Admiral of the Maritime Law Society and Vice President of the Environmental Law Society, underscore her commitment to environmental justice and legal scholarship.

Jordan’s dedication to public service throughout her time in law school extended to work at the University of Miami’s Children and Youth Law Clinic, where she assisted youth in foster care with various legal matters and her internship with Florida Sea Grant as a HOPE Public Interest Fellow, where she drafted policy related to increased flooding in coastal areas.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Jordan enjoys SCUBA diving, photography, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends.
